Champions Poster – Joel Johnson

Next to add his signature to our Champions Poster is 1987 2WD World Champion Joel Johnson!

Racing his Kyosho Ultima, Joel travelled to Timsbury, Hampshire, UK and from the 3rd qualifying position took the win in A1 but found himself with work to do after a P6 in A2. He rallied for a 2nd place finish in A3, and his top 1-2 finishes were enough to lock up the title.

Joel has been facing some health issues recently, but in spite of that graciously offered his time up to help with our project, and we could not be more appreciative.

Additionally he recently donated his unused #0/500 BK Transmitter Bag, which was used to raise almost $1000 for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation in honor of Brian Kinwald.
